Ray Sigorta’s digital approach will go beyond the country borders

Adopting a business model that offers innovative and contemporary solutions, Ray Sigorta is launching a new digital transformation project that will support the digital competencies of its business partners and increase customer satisfaction. Ray Sigorta will receive financial support from its shareholder Vienna Insurance Group, and it will lead the way in spreading the acquired competencies to the companies of the group in other countries within the scope of this project.

Digital transformation is one of the most critical processes for insurance companies that want to make a difference in the industry and satisfy the changing needs of their customers. The advantages of institutions that have increased their capacity in this field and are ready for innovations have been understood much more clearly by insurers and insureds during the pandemic. Ray Sigorta is one of the companies that created its digital transformation vision before the pandemic broke out, entered a diligent work process in this direction, and produced projects that create value for its business partners and customers by catching up with the digital agenda.

Koray Erdoğan, the General Manager of Ray Sigorta, stated that digitalization was also on their agenda before COVID-19 and said, “As Ray Sigorta, our top priority is always to create solutions to meet the changing needs of our customers and to improve the business processes of our agencies, which are our most important connection points with our customers. With the pandemic process, we have seen the accuracy of our investments in the digital field.” Stating that the insurance industry was not yet as effective as banks in its digital transformation journey, Erdoğan underlines that insurance companies should quickly close this gap with the investments they will make in order to offer the best experience to their customers and business partners. Erdoğan said; “The companies that capture the dynamics of the digital world in the new normal and read the scenario in the best way will win,” and added that the focus of their long-term investments as Ray Sigorta was to make the lives of the agencies, and therefore, the customers easier, to be close to them, and to ensure their satisfaction by providing the best experience.

Agency and customer needs are always prioritized

Although digitalization is on every company’s agenda, it is essential for companies that want to make a difference with digital transformation to review their traditional business models and design a strategy accordingly. Ray Sigorta, whose motto is to grow together with agencies, has created a structure to support its closest business partners, the agencies while increasing its digital competencies. Ray Sigorta General Manager Koray Erdoğan said, “We have a strategy that aims to enrich and transform conventional experiences with digital technologies,” and stated that they are planning a work that would create value for all business partners and customers.

Erdoğan detailed other digital works as follows: “As Ray Sigorta, we have efforts to meet the needs of our agencies through a single platform. In this sense, we renewed our agency portal. Our mobile application preparations for both agencies and customers continue at full speed. We are developing an infrastructure that will allow our business partners to easily integrate the services offered by Ray Sigorta into their platforms, thus contributing to the digital transformation of the ecosystem. We are also completely changing our website for our customers. We aim for the best user experience in all our works. We can say that our aim is to facilitate access to our services, prioritize functionality, and increase satisfaction with a new aesthetic design in which the user can browse comfortably. In addition, we aim to save time in processing times with our fast infrastructure.”

Our priority is to increase the digital capabilities of our agencies.

Referring to the importance of agencies, which are strategic business partners, to adapt to digital transformation, Koray Erdoğan said, “We are constantly talking about the need for our agencies to adapt to this transformation process. However, it is not possible for every agency to finance its digital transformation. Here, insurance companies have a crucial role to play. We are aware of our responsibilities in this regard, and very soon, we will have surprises for our agencies in this matter.”

An essential step for the industry

Stating that they have come a long way in technology and digital transformation and that they would now export their knowledge on digitalization and technology to other countries as the next step, Koray Erdoğan said, “Our investor, VIG, operates with 50 different companies in 30 countries. It is a great pride for us that our group finances a significant part of Ray Sigorta’s projects and that the outputs of our project will form the basis for the digital transformation of our other group companies. It is also an indication of the trust in our country and our company.”
